A Message on Giving from the Church Council August 2021

Dear members and friends,

We are writing today to thank you for your support of Fountain Lutheran Church through the gifts of your time, your talents, and your treasures.  Because of your contributions we have been able to share the good news of God’s love in Jesus Christ to the people of our congregation and our community, giving them the strength and hope they need for daily life, and for continuing to move forward in this persistent time of the coronavirus pandemic.

As you may remember, from March 2020 to October 2020, we were not able to be together in person for worship, so we moved our worship and other ministries online.  Consequently, we were dependent on your donations given outside of worship so we could continue to provide for our pastoral staff, support our various ministries including our added web and social media presence, and maintain our building.  Since October of last year, we have been back together physically and receiving many offerings in person in worship.

We are so grateful to you for delivering your financial gifts in the flesh, for mailing them to the church, and for sending them electronically.

If you are not familiar with this way to give your offerings, we want to briefly tell you about it.  Our new giving partner, Vanco Payment Solutions, provides tools to make electronic giving simple and convenient for you and which provide much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.  Their E-giving is safe and secure and permits you to designate your contribution to church funds that you are passionate about.

Vanco’s eGiving options let you make a one-time gift or set up recurring giving in three ways.  First, through an authorization form.  The information you provide gives permission for funds to be automatically debited (i.e., withdrawn) from your checking or savings account and transferred to the church’s bank account.  Second, on our church’s website.  Go to www.fountainlutheranchurch.com, click on the button near the top of the homepage, click on create a profile, and then enter your donation information.  Third, by the use of a mobile app.  If you have a smartphone, you can download Vanco’s GivePlus Mobile application (i.e., program) from the App Store or Google Play, enter our church name or use the search feature, then create an account.

A flyer with Frequently Asked Questions about these eGiving options can be found in the post entitled eGiving FAQ for Donors at the top of this page, or by clicking on the link below.

The authorization form can be found by clicking on the link below.

Simply print the form, fill it out (disregard the section “CREDIT/DEBIT CARD”), and mail it to the church.

Follow the links above if you prefer the online or mobile options or both.  If you have questions, contact Scott Rustad (507-421-9542) or Pastor Kerry (507-951-3954); they can help you get set up.

Lastly, we encourage you to prayerfully consider your giving plan and means of giving to support the faith community we all have worked so hard to nurture.  THANK YOU!

Yours in Christ,

Dave Gudmundson     Ken Hollerman     Deb Jeffers     Scott Rustad     Tom Tienter     Pastor Kerry & Deacon Cindy
